Shifting Gears

Gears
"R": Reverse
This gear must be engaged only after the
vehicle has come to a complete stop.
"N": Neutral
This gear can be engaged for temporary
parking.
WARNING!
•
Make sure to engage the parking
brake or press the brake pedal
whenever the vehicle is temporarily
parked in Neutral. Otherwise, the
vehicle may move and cause an
accident
•
To prevent accidents, do not coast in
neutral (N) gear.
"D": Drive
This gear is engaged for normal driving.

Gear Position Buttons
1 "UNLOCK" button
Press the "UNLOCK" button to exit Park or
shift to Reverse.
2 "P" gear button
Press this button when the vehicle is
stationary.
Shifting Gears
Shifting to Drive, Neutral and Reverse
Press the brake pedal, push the gear
shift lever in the desired direction after
the vehicle has come to a complete
stop. After the gear shift lever is released,
it automatically returns to the central
position.
