To effectively prevent vehicle fires, heed to
the following precautions:
Do not place any flammable or explosive
materials in the vehicle.
Do not modify the vehicle's wiring
or install any additional electrical
appliances.
Visit a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider regularly for inspection and
maintenance.
Equipping the vehicle with fire
extinguishers and understanding how
they are used is recommended.
When parking the vehicle (especially
in summer), make sure that there are
no flammable materials (e.g., hay, dry
branches and leaves or straw, etc.) under
the vehicle, as they are fire hazards.

Vehicle Flooding

If you suspect water has entered the vehicle
after having driven through flooded areas,
follow the steps below:
Drive away from the flooded area and
park safely. Check if there is water inside
the vehicle, and if there is, remove it as
soon as possible.
If the vehicle is unable to leave the area,
power it off and disconnect the cathode
of the 12V battery (starter Fe battery) if
possible.
Contact a BYD authorised dealer
or service provider for emergency
assistance immediately.
If the vehicle is seriously flooded, all
vehicle occupants should evacuate to a
safe area at once.
WARNING!
Never power the vehicle on if it
accidentally falls into water or is
flooded due to weather or other
reasons. Doing so may result in an
accident or serious damage to the
vehicle.

Vehicle Collision

In the event of a vehicle collision, follow the
steps below:
If conditions permit, visually check if the
high voltage battery tray has cracked
edges and if any fluid is visibly leaking
out.
Power the vehicle off, and disconnect
the cathode of the 12V battery (starter Fe
battery) if possible.
Contact a BYD authorised dealer
or service provider for emergency
assistance immediately.
Battery Leakage
In case of battery leakage, keep away from
the vehicle or the leaking battery and
contact a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider for emergency assistance.

Do not touch any leaks. Keep away
from the vehicle or the leaking
