Diagnostic event in the operating tool
If a diagnostic event is present in the device, the status signal appears in the top left status
in the operating tool along with the corresponding symbol for event level in accordance
with NAMUR NE 107:
• Failure (F)
• Function check (C)
• Out of specification (S)
• Maintenance required (M)
Calling up remedial measures
1. Navigate to the Diagnostics menu.
In the Actual diagnostics parameter, the diagnostic event is shown with event
text.
2. On the right in the display range, hover the cursor over the Actual diagnostics
parameter.
A tool tip with remedial measures for the diagnostic event appears.

Diagnostic messages in the DIAGNOSTIC Transducer
Block (TRDDIAG)
• The Actual diagnostics parameter displays the message with the highest priority. Every
message is also output as per the FOUNDATION Fieldbus Specification by means of the
XD_ERROR and BLOCK_ERROR parameters.
• A list of diagnostic messages is displayed in the Diagnostics 1 to Diagnostics 5
parameters. If more than 5 messages are currently active, only those with the highest
priority are displayed.
• You can view a list of alarms which are no longer active (event log) via the Previous
diagnostics parameter.

Diagnostic list
In the Diagnostic list submenu, up to 5 currently pending diagnostic messages can be
displayed. If more than 5 messages are pending, the messages with the highest priority are
shown on the display.

Calling up and closing the remedial measures
1. Press .
The message for the remedial measures for the selected diagnostic event opens.
2. Press + simultaneously.
The message about the remedial measures closes.
