Testing telephones and other equipment
This section describes how to test the telephones and other equipment. Perform these tests
after the equipment is wired to the media gateway and after you administer the customer data
for that equipment. The tests are acceptance tests and provide some assurance that the system
will perform properly after installation and administration.
If problems occur or more extensive tests are required, see the maintenance book for your
configuration.
Perform the following tasks to complete the acceptance tests:
Making test calls
●
Testing the 302C attendant console
●
Testing selector console
●
Testing external ringing
●
Testing the queue warning indicator
●
Testing integrated announcement
●
Testing music-on-hold
●
Testing emergency transfer
●
Testing terminating trunk transmission
●
Testing connectivity to the LAN
●
Making test calls
Make two calls from one telephone to another telephone. To make the first call, dial a telephone.
To make the second call, dial a trunk access code and a listed directory number (LDN).
