The output path from the laser diode to the drum is shown above.
The LD unit [A] sends a laser beam to the polygon mirror [G] through the cylindrical
lens [H].
Each side of the polygon mirror reflects a full main scan line. The laser beam goes
through the f-theta lens [B] and BTL [C]. The drum mirror [D] reflects the laser
beam onto the drum [I] through the toner shield glass [J].
The laser synchronizing detector boards [E, F] determine the main scan starting
position, and detect variations in the time required to make a main scan.
