3.7 Heat Management
Preparation Overview
The following sections outline the process of preparing the fireplace
for heat transfer kits, Komfort Zone Kits, and vented cavity design
options. Please reference the manual(s) included with your chosen
heat management system.
For vented cavity installation instructions, refer to section 3.8,
VENTED CAVITY on page 24.
3.7.1 Exterior and Interior Heat
Transfer Kit Cover Plates
This appliance can have (2) heat transfer kits installed at the
same time. It can be up to two of the same heat transfer kit or a
combination of interior and exterior kits.
If you are planning to install a heat transfer kit, remove (1) square
cover plate for each heat transfer kit installed. The cover plates
are located on the rear of the outer shell of the appliance shown
in FIGURE 3.10. Refer to your heat transfer kit manual(s) for more
information.
Remove (1) square cover plate per kit, up to (2) kits may be used
