Heating connection

4.6.1
General requirements
The heating connection is made according to
DIN EN 12828 to form a self-contained system with
membrane expansion tank.
ATTENTION
Use only part-tested equipment to
ensure that the heating connection
complies with the safety requirements.
4.6.2 Special installation notes
Connect flow and return pipes to the module as
specified in the connection dimensions in chapter
2.3 using flexible hosing (pipe connection
expansion joints for structure-bore noise). Always
fit the elastic connector without tension directly
onto on the module.
Heating connection lines and mains, including
molds, should be made of black steel pipe acc. to
DIN EN 10220 and DIN EN 10255 and be
minimum of grade St 35 and installed according to
Tichelmann system (for identical heat outputs).
Install components and measuring points in the
customer's heating connection as shown in the
flowchart of the block-type thermal power plant's
peripheral connections (Fig. 8).
For maintenance works, a filling and draining tap
must be installed by the customer in close
proximity to the CHP in the hot water inflow (e.g. a
½" KFE tap) and a vent valve must be installed in
the hot water return.
To ensure proper operation of the block-type
thermal power plant, a constant and sufficient flow
of heating water must be maintained.
The return temperature to the block-type thermal
power plant (heating water inlet temperature)
should not normally be more than 65 °C.
The combined heat and power (CHP) unit must be
protected against silting from the existing heating
system. It is recommended that you install a dirt
catcher and a dirt separator in the return line to the
CHP unit.
Return flow temperature heater to be installed
directly downstream the module.
This includes:
-
2 flanged shutoff valves (each module)
-
Dirt trap (each module, optional)
-
Heating water hose
-
Three-way mixing valve, complete with drive
-
Controller with auxiliary power supply
22
-
Membrane expansion tank, designed for the
system pressure of the heating system,
-
Connection with cap valve DN 25 (each module)
-
Heater recirculation pump
-
Pipe leg regulating valve (each module, optional)
-
Return flow temperature monitor Pt 100
(1 x each Block-type thermal power plant)
Insulation of the heating water pipes and cladding
with sheet metal as required by regulations.
Optional:
RAL paint insulated lines according to DIN 2404.
Optional: Integrate the block-type thermal power
plant cooler as required by the customer's site and
as defined in the system plan.
Fix marking labels as required.
Provide heat quantity counters within the return
temperature rise and monitor the additional loss in
pressure when designing the heating water pump.
