Gas connection

4.7.1
General requirements
CAUTION
Have a licensed firm carry out all work
on gas components. The devices and
components of the gas supply system
must have a DVGW or similar license
under EU legislation.
The permission lapses and any claim
for consequential damage is voided if
the gas fittings of the block-type thermal
power plant are modified.
ATTENTION
The applicable technical regulations for
the supply with biogas should be
observed. Make sure that the
temperature in the gas supply
equipment never drops below dewpoint
temperature.
4.7.2 Special installation notes
Connect the gas pipeline to the module as
specified in the connection dimensions in chapter 2
and the flowchart on page 20 0by flexible means
(structure-bore noise).
Install the gas expansion joint directly on the
module.
Install the following in the gas supply line:
-
Gas master shutoff valve at the block-type
thermal power plant branch
-
Pressure controller for maximum gas pressure
with installation in the main gas line.
NOTE
If the plant is intended for emergency
generation service, supply the shutoff
devices with 24 V direct voltage
(battery supply).
Connect the Block-type thermal power plant to the
available gas supply system by a branch line.
VITOBLOC 200 BM-366/437 Assembly instructions
NOTE
It is recommended to choose a larger
dimension for the block-type thermal
power plant connection lines so they
can serve as gas buffer. This can
compensate pressure fluctuations if
boilers are fired.
If the available gas pressure is not as
required (20 to 50 mbar flow pressure),
the customer should provide suitable
pressure increase/decrease devices. In
choosing these devices, mind the
response time of the gas regulating
equipment in the cogeneration
modules.
Flow-free operation at full load cannot
be guaranteed at low gas pressure.
Use black steel pipe according to DIN EN 10255
und DIN 2460 for the gas main and distribution
lines.
Provide condensate traps at suitable points in the
gas pipelines and check them for function
regularly.
CAUTION
Welding work should only be carried out
by skilled welders holding the required
permission. The permissions should be
included as part of the technical
documentation.
RAL paint the gas pipelines according to DIN 2404.
Make a leak test and draw up a test report.
It is recommended to use a gas meter design
G100.
INSTRUCTION
Also observe the requirements of
DVGW Code of Practice G 260.
