8.8 Advanced Operations with QT1-C
8.8.1 Position Presets
Presets are pre programmed stopping points. Each hoist can have one preset recorded.
When a moving hoist reaches a preset position it stops movement.

8.8.1.1 Recording and Deleting Presets
To record a preset:
1:
Move the hoist to the desired position.
2:
Release the move button when the desired position is reached.
3:
Press and hold the [Preset] button for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the preset is stored.
4:
Release the [Preset] button.
To delete a preset:
Press and hold the [Preset] button for a total of 10 seconds. At 5 seconds, another preset record will
happen. Continue holding the button for another 5 seconds and the preset will be deleted.
8.8.2 Load Profiles and Monitoring
Load monitoring allows the system to verify that the correct load is being lifted.
If the load is out of the allowable range, movement is stopped and an error message is displayed on the

In order to monitor the load, a load profile must be "learned" by the hoist; this is done by loading the
hoist with the desired load and then allowing the hoist to learn that load.
Only one hoist can learn a load at any given time.
There are two methods of recording a load profile: Quick Learn and Full Profile.
Quick Learn
In most cases the Quick Learn method can be used to record a new load for a line set.
The Quick Learn method works for all attached loads that do not change weight during travel; a Quick
Learn simply records the static load at one position and the system adjusts any existing profile to
account for the change in static load.
To perform a Quick Learn:
1:
Insert a key into the "LOAD PROFILE" keyswitch.
2:
Turn the keyswitch to [LEARN].
3:
Press the [PRESET] button. The load is recorded immediately.
4:
Turn the keyswitch back to [RUN].
5:
Remove the key from the keyswitch or connect the QT1-C Field Service Kit to the next hoist and
repeat the Quick Learn process.
