OPERATION - SAFETY

• Read all instructions :
- Do not allow children to use the mixer without supervision
- To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put the
machine in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- Make sure appliance is OFF when not in use, before putting
on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- Remove beaters from mixer before washing
- Avoid contacting moving parts.
- Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other
utensils away from beaters during operation to reduce the
risk of injury to persons, and/or damage to the mixer.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or dama-
ged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authori-
zed service facility for examination, repair or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
- Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.

• The safety of the user is guaranteed by:
- The safety guard which allows the tool to be maintained at a
standardised distance and which stops the motor when it
is raised.

FITTING THE BOWL AND TOOLS

• Raise the safety guard and the cradle will be lowered auto-
matically.
• Place a tool inside the bowl.
• Present the bowl in front of the support and insert the bowl
handles onto the pins.
• Push the tool onto the tool holder spindle, then turn it anti-
clockwise
to lock it in position.

SPEED SELECTION:

The electronic speed control system offers users great flexi-
bility in use.
• Always start in slow speed 1 to avoid splashing or clouds
of flour and then gradually increase the speed depending on
the work required.

- The machine only starting when the support is in the work
position and the safety guard lowered.
- A time of less than three seconds for the machine to stop
regardless of the speed.
- A no current device which requires the speed selector but-
ton to be returned to 0 for it to restart.
- Protection against over-currents, power surges and the motor
overheating.
A Twist ON / OFF/ SPEED SELECTOR button
B Position 0: OFF
C Position 1 to 3: Low speeds (kneading)
D Position 3 to 7: Medium speeds (mixing)
E Position 7 to 10: High speeds (whisking)
a) Starting up:
- Lower the safety guard. The bowl rises automatically to the
working position.
- Turn the selector button in a clockwise direction
from 0.
b) Electronic speed control
- Turn the selector button:
Clockwise
to increase the speed.
Anti-clockwise
to decrease it.
Note: Do not force the button min. - max. stops as this may
damage the potentiometer.
c) Braked stop
- By turning the selector button back to 0.
Do not raise the safety guard until after the beater has
come to a complete stop to prevent splashes.
• Push the safety guard back and the bowl will be automati-
cally locked in position.
Note: If the bowl is not fitted correctly, it will not be possible to
push the safety guard back completely. Do not force and en-
sure the bowl is correctly positioned.
• Start the beater up at the chosen speed.
