6.4 Hot-plug HDD Option

CAUTION: For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components,
minimize the amount of time the access panel is open.
1.Determine the status of the hard disk drive from the hot-plug HDD LED.
2.Back up all server data on the hard disk drive.
3.Remove the hard disk drive.
Installing a hot-plug HDD
Step 1: Press the HDD panel button.
Step 2: The lever on HDD tray pops up automatically, pull it outwards and remove the HDD tray.
