TROUBLESHOOTING
UPPER Platen STUCK. CALL SERVICE-LATCH. IF
THE Platen IS OPEN, COOK FLAT ITEMS ONLY
This error occurs whenever the latch output air solenoid
is de-energized and the control does not detect an open
lid latch switch within 2 to 4 seconds. The machine must
be powered down or the latch switch must be closed in
order to cancel this alarm.
To troubleshoot, check the following:
• Check platen position
• Check latch switch position
• Check connections at the motor control board
Platen NOT LATCHED. CALL SERVICE-LATCH. IS AN
OBJECT STUCK UNDER THE Platen? IF NO, COOK
FLAT ITEMS ONLY.

This error occurs whenever a "Lowering Platen" 
command is initiated and a latch switch closure is not
detected within three to five seconds. This error alarm
can be canceled by pressing anywhere on the display.
HOME SWITCH STUCK ON. CLAM ITEMS BLOCKED.
CALL SERVICE
This error occurs when the platen moves down and the
control determines that the motor has not moved off the
Home switch, or the Home switch is stuck in one position.
When the control estimates that the motor has moved
150 inches off the Home switch, and the Home switch
has not opened, the control should indicate a "HOME
SWITCH STUCK ON" error message and condition. The
alarm is canceled by a key press anywhere on the 
display. After the control has detected this failure, only
flat items will be available for cooking, until the machine
is powered down.

HOME SWITCH NOT SEEN. CLAM ITEMS BLOCKED.
CALL SERVICE.
This error occurs when the platen moves up and the 
control determines that the Home switch has not been
closed. The alarm is canceled by a key press. After the
control has detected this failure, and until power down,
only flat items will be allowed.
To troubleshoot, check the following:

Check the voltage at the stepper motor terminal
Check for damage and operation of the Home
Unplug connection at the motor control board
Check the motor control board output.
Check OHM stepper motor coil windings.
Troubleshooting
