PROBE CALIBRATION
This option calibrates the heating elements against a
probe placed on the grill surface. The number entered is
the offset between the temperature displayed by the grill
and the surface probe reading.
Note: Heaters are turned off during this time.
Thermocouple probes are located from front to rear on
the lower grill plates and upper platens. See Figure 2-28
for the probe locations.

TEST MODE
This option is used when troubleshooting the operation of
the grill. The Test mode allows the user to manually
operate certain components of the grill. As keys are
selected, components are turned on and off and the text
on the upper right-hand side will display the changing
status of the grill.
To exit the Test mode screen and return to the Service
mode screen, press the BACK key.
The following options are available in the Test mode.
1. Heaters
Press the Top Rear, Top Front, Bottom Rear, Bottom
Middle, or Bottom Front keys to turn the
corresponding heater on and off. This function is
used to troubleshoot the motor control board, relay,
and heat zone amp draws.
Note: While in this mode, the heat state is not being
monitored. If a button is pressed to turn on a specific
heater, the heater will stay on for 30 seconds and
then turn off. This will avoid tripping the high-limit
switch. Pressing the same key again will turn the
heater off, or pressing the BACK key will turn all the
heaters off and display the Service mode screen.
2. Air Valve
Press the Air Valve key to turn the air valve on and
off. Turning the air valve on will lower the platen. This
function is used to troubleshoot the pneumatic
system (i.e. compressor, latch switch and solenoid,
and motor control board).
