2.5 Chassis Components
The E102-9W-C can be used as a fanless system. For additional cooling, an optional fan
can be installed in the chassis.
System Cooling
The chassis supports one 10x40-mm fan.
Installing the Optional System Fan
1. Power down the system and remove the chassis cover as described in Sections 2.1 and
2.2.
2. If the motherboard is installed in the chassis, remove the motherboard from the chassis
as described in Section 2.2.
3. Align the fan with the holes in the wall of the chassis.
4. Secure the fan with two screws.
5. Install the motherboard and connect the fan cable to the fan header on the motherboard.
6. Reinstall the chassis top cover and power up the system.
