3.4 Chassis Components
Storage Drives
HDD Support Partitions
Prior to installing top-loading 3.5" hard drives into the SC946S chassis, it is necessary to
install the two hard drive support partitions included with the system.
Installing the HDD Support Partitions
1. Power down the system as described in Section 3.1 and open the chassis cover as
described in Section 3.2.
2. Place the HDD support partitions into the storage chassis as illustrated below.
3. Flex the partition bar slightly while simultaneously holding open the latches at each end
of the partition.
4. Slide the partitions onto the dividers and release the latches to clip the partition to the
divider
5. Secure the dividers to the storage chassis using five screws.
6. Close the storage chassis cover, reconnect the power cords to the rear of the power
supplies and power up the system.
