SAS Expander Card N8116-84

Make sure that the following requirements are met before installing the 12G SAS Expander
 You should install the following components.
 RAID Controller
 Drive cage:
－For 24 x 2.5-inch HDD configuration: BOX1 and BOX2 2.5-inch x8 front drive cage
－If using rear drive cage configuration: 2 x 2.5-inch or 3 x 3.5-inch rear drive cage

 Slot1 of 1 Riser Card must be used for installing SAS ExpanderCard.
 To confirm if the cable is properly connected, check the labels on the cable and the component connector.
Confirm that the RAID controller and SAS Expander firmware are updated to the latest versions. To

download the latest firmware, visit NEC web site.
 See each of the tables below and confirm the required cable connection.
