EMERGENCY STOP Button and Key Switch
EMERGENCY STOP button
VAM devices are delivered without a rear covering plate.
Please find the labeling templates on the Bosch Rexroth web site or contact
your sales representative.
The icons to label the machine functions keys, the key switch and the 22.5 mm
sized control and indicator units can be created with the templates and be prin‐
ted on transparent foil with the help of a laser printer.
After cutting out the slide-in strips, they can be inserted on the rear side of the
devices.

EMERGENCY STOP button and key switch
This module slot is equipped with a standard EMERGENCY STOP button,
which is not wired. The two N/C contacts of the switching elements can be wired
with the EMERGENCY STOP circuits of the machine as required.
The red-yellow EMERGENCY STOP button of the IndraControl VAM11.1/41.1
device meets the requirements of the EN ISO 13850. It must be designed as
an emergency stop of category 0 or category 1 (see EN 60204-1 chapter
9.2.5.4.2) on the basis of the risk assessment for the machine. The connection
of the positive-break contacts to an appropriate monitoring system must meet
the category (in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1) which is defined by means
of the risk assessment (in accordance with EN ISO 14121-1) of the machine.
The connections of the both N/C contacts ("NC") are designated as "1" and "2"
in the following figure. The device variant VAM41.1-PB-ND-AB-TA-VA-
BA-1608-L1 features and additional N/O contact ("NO") with the connector
designation "3" and "4". This N/O contact can e.g. be used as signal contact for
the state evaluation of the EMERGENCY STOP button via a PLC.
