dures are a straight - edge screwdriver and an A l l en wrench .

REMOVAL
Posit ion the IBM 9 001 power switch to OFF and unplug the main power

cord from the wall out let . See Figure 5 - 1 .

Remove the main power cord from the processor unit back plate . See
Figure 5 - 1 .
3 .
Remove the keyboard connector from the processor unit back plate and
move the keyboard to another area to provide workspace . See Figure
5 - 1 .

I f a printer/plotter i s not instal led, proceed t o Step 5 .

Tear o f f and remove any paper remaining in the paper tray and remove
the paper tray to another area to provide workspace .
Dis connect the CRT disp lay cable by pushing back on the spr ing - loaded

retaining c l ips that hold the connector in p l ace dis connecting the
grounding c lip and pu l l ing the connector away from the processor unit
back plate . See Figure 5 - 1 .

Remove any other connectors from the processor unit back plat e .
