By using the key lock switch in the glove
box it is possible to deactivate and acti-
vate the frontal and lateral passenger Air
Bags.
This measure is necessary in the excep-
tional cases where a child seat must be
installed in the passenger seat.
In general, child seats should o o nly b b e
fitted i i n t t he r r ear s s eats o o f t t he v v ehicle.
Reactivate t t he A A ir B B ags a a s s s oon a a s
possible, t t he p p rompt r r eactivation o o f
the A A ir B B ags w w ill o o ffer n n ecessary p p ro-
tection.

Deactivation
•
Turn the ignition to the off position
•
Turn the key lock switch to the "OFF"
position using the ignition key.
•
Ensure that when the ignition is
switched to the "ON" position, the "AIR
BAG O O FF" warning light always comes
on.
