Key l l ock s s witch

By using the key lock switch in the glove
box it is possible to deactivate and acti-
vate the frontal and lateral passenger Air
Bags.
This measure is necessary in the excep-
tional cases where a child seat must be
installed in the passenger seat.
In general, child seats should o o nly b b e
fitted i i n t t he r r ear s s eats o o f t t he v v ehicle.
Reactivate t t he A A ir B B ags a a s s s oon a a s
possible, t t he p p rompt r r eactivation o o f
the A A ir B B ags w w ill o o ffer n n ecessary p p ro-
tection.
Warning!

used w w ith t t he i i gnition i i n t t he o o ff
position. I I f n n ot, f f aults m m ay b b e
introduced i i nto t t he s s ystem p p re-
venting t t he t t riggering o o f t t he A A ir

ment.

Deactivation
Turn the ignition to the off position
Turn the key lock switch to the "OFF"
position using the ignition key.
Ensure that when the ignition is
switched to the "ON" position, the "AIR
BAG O O FF" warning light always comes
on.
