If a radio is installed or if the factory-pro-
vided radio is replaced, including speak-
ers, the following must be noted:

Connectors* fitted in the vehicle are for
Original SEAT Radios
•
Radios with different connectors must
be connected with adaptor cables.
Warning
Never c c ut a a c c able a a nd n n ever l l eave
it w w ithout i i nsulation. I I f n n ecessary
use a a n a a daptor.
Otherwise t t he c c ables c c ould b b e
overloaded a a nd c c ause a a s s hort c c ir-
cuit – – d d anger o o f f f ire.
Furthermore, i i mportant e e lectronic
components c c ould d d eteriorate o o r b b e
damaged. I I n c c ase o o f a a d d isturbance i i n
the s s peed s s ignal, f f or e e xample, i i t
could c c ause f f ailure i i n t t he e e ngine c c on-
trol, a a utomatic g g earbox, A A BS, e e tc.
Even i i f t t he s s peed s s ignal i i s c c onnected
to a a r r adio f f itted w w ith a a n a a utomatic
volume a a djustment b b y a a d d ifferent
manufacturer, a a f f ailure o o f t t he p p revi-
ously m m entioned k k ind c c ould o o ccur.
To access the original speakers you must
remove the entire door panel. Since this
operation requires special tools and
expertise, we recommend that this be
undertaken by a Technical Service Centre.

be folded backwards, i.e. at a car wash.
