3. Grasp the card by the edges and carefully pull it up and out of
the motherboard connectors.
4. Place the removed card into an anti-static bag. If one is not
handy, set the module aside until after step 12, then use the bag
that contained the replacement module.
5. If adding a connector card (where none existed), remove the
plate that covers the opening for WAN ports 4–7. (See location
of ports in
Figure 3-2
If it was secured by threaded hex standoffs like those on WAN
ports 0–7, save the standoffs. If the plate was secured by screws,
they can be discarded.
6. To add or replace a four-port connector card, you must move the
motherboard back approximately ½ inch. Remove the seven
screws shown in the following figure.
