in an inappropriate manner may reduce its functional capacity and result in an accident.
This operation manual explains the proper procedures concerning the installation, operation, and
maintenance of the product. This manual should be read before conducting operation and maintenance and
inspections on this pump.
Installation personnel must provide copies of this manual to the customer's pump operation, maintenance and
inspection personnel. Keep this manual in a safe place where it can be consulted at any time.

EVMS/EVMSL １ Warnings Warnings in this manual provide information needed for safe operation of the pump, and instructions for preventing danger or injury to you or other people. So that you will know the degree and imminence of danger that warnings signify, they are divided into two grades, WARNING and CAUTION, according to the seriousness of what will happen if their instructions are not heeded. -

In facilities with living matter (fish farms, fish preserves, aquariums, etc.), always prepare a spare pump, as oxygen deprivation may result due to pump failures. Contact the shop from where you ordered the pump, or EBARA to perform an inspection and maintenance on the pump. EVMS/EVMSL ４ Specifications Refer to the nameplate for the head, capacity (CAP.) and speed, etc. of the pump you have purchased. Additional specifications are indicated in the following table. The pressure units used in this manual are as per the International System of Unit (SI). Reference values are also provided in the brackets. - Page 7 Fresh water refers to tap water, industrial water or well water, with a temperature of 0 to 80C, a pH of 5.8 to 8.6 and a chlorine ion concentration of 200 mg/L or less. Contact EBARA regarding low-temperature liquid between -15 and 0C and high-temperature liquid exceeding 80℃.

(4) If there is a risk that foreign substance is mixed in fluid, attach a strainer on the suction side. EVMS/EVMSL ６ Operation Do not operate the pump for more than 1 minute with the discharge valve left closed. The pressure within the pump will rise, and the casing or plugs may be damaged. Do not touch the rotating parts such as the spindle, shaft couplings, V-pulleys, etc. - Page 15 We have priming set by sold separately; without hose. Please order. EVMS/EVMSL 2. Operation (1) Close the discharge valve when priming is complete. Completely open the suction valve for flooding or positive suction. (2) Turn the switch OFF and ON several times, and check that there are no problems with rotation direction or operating conditions. Note The correct rotational direction is clockwise looking from the motor. -

Probable causes are strains in the piping and loose anchor bolts. Ebara offers Ebara vibration absorber frames, Ebara flex joints, and Ebara pipe silencers (pressure pulsation absorbers); if vibration absorption measures are necessary, the user may want to order these items. -

Review the plan. Discharge head is too high for the pump. High fluid temperature or volatile fluid. Review the plan. Cavitation. Consult with EBARA. Not primed sufficiently. Sufficiently prime the pump. Water is Air is being sucked in. Inspect, repair suction piping and shaft seal. -

Never disassemble motor. When disassembly Caution necessary, contact EBARA. 1. Disassembly For disassembly, refer to the construction in . and follow the procedure below. (1) Turn the power OFF. (2) Remove the cover on the motor terminal box, and remove the external wiring. -

Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly. Note the following points however. Strict airtight inspections are necessary in assembly of the cartridge mechanical seal. (6) months after Ex-factory, it shall be valid for twelve (12) months after delivery date to customer. (2) Under warranty term, EBARA will supply new replacing pump or parts free of charge in conditions that the cause of trouble is obviously recognized due to our design/ manufacture error, and the user operates pumps properly.
