Tests
The command selections are
[1] Stop Test – valid during any test. If you stop a Self Test before completion of the selected Test
Time, the error count for the test is not displayed.
[1] Restart Test – replaces the Stop Test selection upon the end of a test; permits you to rerun the
test without returning to the Diagnostics Menu.
[2] Inject Single Bit Error – valid during a Self Test, generates an error in the pattern in order to
confirm transmission and reception; in a DS0 self test it may be necessary to inject multiple
errors.
[3] Reset Counters – resets the error count
[0] Return to Diagnostics Menu
Programming a Pattern for T1 Tests
1. To create a 16-bit programmable test pattern, type 3 and press the Enter key. Highlighting
appears on the T1 16-bit Progm Pattern field and the prompt ENTER 16-BIT PROGRAM
PATTERN: appears at the bottom of the screen.
2. Type the 16-bit binary pattern of ones and zeros that you intend to use, and press the Enter key.
The 16 digits appear in the Programmable Pattern field and the highlight moves to the
selection field at the bottom of the screen.
