Front Panel Configuration Screen
The Front Panel Configuration screen shown in
[1] Front Panel Switches – can be set to Enabled or Disabled. When Enabled (default setting) the
switches are active to permit convenient on-site testing. When Disabled the switches are
deactivated to protect against inadvertent interruptions in communication.
[2] Front Panel Blink In Service LED – permits you to make the In Service (INS) indicator on the
DSU front panel blink continuously. This is a convenience when using the terminal interface
and Telnet for diagnostics from a remote location. When you determine the unit requires
replacement or other on-site attention, this feature enables you to identify it for easy location by
on-site personnel.
