In order to comply with FCC Part 15 standards for a Class A device, an SC 553 DSU installed in an SC
2000 shelf requires shielded cables at the network interface and at the cascade port interface (if it is in-
stalled). The required cables are available from GDC as Part Nos. 027H251-XXX and 027H245-XXX.

EIA 530 interface is available as an option.
RJ48C jack for network interface connection (shielded cable)
RJ48C jack for station clock or for cascade port interface connection when
cascade option is installed (shielded cable)
RJ45 jack for RS561 terminal interface connection.; if only one card is
installed, connection must be made to Term connector for the occupied
slot; if two cards are installed, connection to either Term connector can
access both.
