TR54016 Current/Total Statistics Screen
The TR54016 Current/Total Statistics screen, shown in
concerning six error conditions:
Errored Seconds (ES) – containing at least one CRC error or Out of Frame (OOF) event
Severely Errored Seconds (SES) – containing more than 320 CRC errors or an OOF event
Bursty Errored Seconds (BES) – containing between 1 and 320 CRC errors
Unavailable Seconds (UAS) – declared when SES condition lasts 10 consecutive seconds
Loss of Frame Count (LOFC) – LOF declared when DSU misses 2 out of 4 T1 framing bits
Cyclic Redundancy Checksum (CRC) errors (appears only in near-end user display)
The Current Interval portion of the screen displays how many error events of each type have
occurred during the current 15-minute interval.
The Total Statistics portion of the screen displays how many error events of each type have occurred
since the last time the statistics were reset.
The menu at the bottom of the screen enables you to select the source of the information shown in
the display:
[1] Near-End User displays statistics on error events at the local DSU that are accumulated by the
DSU itself.
[2] Near-End Network displays statistics on error events at the local DSU that are accumulated by
the Telco switching office.
