Remove the following items from the refrigerant valve (18): • Yellow cap • Black threaded retainer • Black plastic sleeve (discard) NOTE: The arrow on the valve indicates the direction of flow. 6. Install the refrigerant valve and bracket in the lower left corner of the vehicle.

Ford Transit Vancouver 8. Drill a 1 3/4 inch (45 millimeters) hole in front of the left-rear wheel, similar to previously done. Protect the cut edge against corrosion and install the rubber grommit (25). 9. Remove the A/C manifold from the TXV. Ensure that the sealing surfaces are clean of debris.

Ford Transit Vancouver D. Lubricate the fitting with PAG oil and insert the fitting until the shoulder of the fitting is touching the clip holder. E. Using Oetiker pliers, crimp the clips closed.

Ford Transit Vancouver 18. Route the wiring harness down the left-rear corner of the body, following the same routing as the A/C hoses. NOTE: Any extra harness length can be secured to the vehicle as needed. NOTE: Be sure the relay- and fuse-mounting screws will not penetrate the outer sheet metal.

Vancouver Ford Transit 21. Connect the refrigerant valve electrical connector. Route the wiring harness through the body cavities to the b-pillar area. NOTE: Headliner shown installed for refer- ence purposes. 22. Drill a 1.25 inch (32 mm) hole in the rear of the left foam panel, approximately centered between the two indents.
