2. Setting Up the Enigma™ M4

2.1 The Front Panel

There are 3 colors for the key backlighting (red, green, and yellow). You can change the combination of color brightness
as needed. Press the Shift and Thru keys to change the color, and then use the Shift key along with + or – to adjust the
backlight brightness.
2.1.1 Quick Record Key
Quickly save backup copies of your show with a single press of the Store key.
2.1.2 Playback Section
The playback section is composed of page keys, playback keys, playback faders, and playback master faders.
There are 40 playback pages, and each page has 15 faders for editing playbacks (600 playbacks in total). The pages can be
turned by using the ↑ or ↓ keys, and the indicator LED display will show the page number.
Keys above and below each playback fader will be introduced in later relevant chapters.
2.1.3 Grand Master
On the far left side of the console is the Grand Master fader and Blackout key.
2.1.4 Numeric Keypad
There are 24 keys in the numeric keypad. Their functions will be introduced in a later chapter.
2.1.5 Attribute Keys
There are 9 attribute + 1 locate key in this area. Each page will display 3 channels at most. Pressing an attribute key of an
already displayed attribute will turn to page 2, displaying more channels. You can control fixtures by using the different
attribute keys with the corresponding wheels A, B and C.
