2.4 Backup and Load Show

Note: Though turning off the controller using the power switch on the rear panel will not damage the system, any
unsaved program operations will be lost if the controller is turned off without backing up.
Backup show files can be saved to the internal disk or the external USB drive, and you can backup quickly to the internal
disk by pressing the Store key.
They will be saved in turn as defaultShow_1, defaultShow_2, defaultShow_3, and defaultShow_4.
Using this method, the system will only allow you to save a total of 4 default named shows. For example, a 5th default
named show will overwrite the 1st (defaultShow_1). So at this point, it is best that you start naming custom show files to
make sure they are saved.
2.4.1 Naming Custom Show Files
You can define a custom file name to your backup file by following these steps:
1. Press the Backup key to enter the BACKUP MENU.
2. If you inserted a USB drive, pressing [Disk Source] will allow your to switch the directory path between the
[Internal Disk] and [USB Disk].
3. Press [Save Show].
4. Press the Keyboard key to recall the on-screen keyboard, then [Enter] to input the name.
5. Press [EXIT] or the EXIT key to exit the on-screen keyboard.
6. Press [OK] or Enter to save.
When you save these backup files to the either drive, the default file names will be renewed.
When programming, please be sure that you take the time to backup frequently so you will not lose your programs.
Backup files that are saved on your USB drive can also be loaded in other Enigma™ M4 consoles.
