Removing a Cartridge from the Hand

If the PowerVault 120T library becomes inoperative with a cartridge in the hand, you can
remove the cartridge using the following procedure:
1. Rotate the robot/hand until it is aligned with the Cartridge Access Port (CAP) or any
empty storage cell.
2.
With your finger in the slot on the side of the hand (shown in Figure 3-9), push the
cartridge towards the Cartridge Access Port (CAP) or empty storage cell.
3.
If the picker assembly is engaged with the cartridge, press the push finger forward
90 (towards the cartridge) to separate the picker (shown in figure 3-9).
4.
Push the cartridge the rest of the way into the Cartridge Access Port (CAP) or empty
storage cell.
5. Rotate the robot/hand until it is moved out of the way.
6.
Remove the cartridge from the Cartridge Access Port (CAP) or empty storage cell, if
needed.
