To install cartridge tapes in the library
1. Make sure that the cartridge tapes have volume serial number (VOLSER) labels
properly applied.
2.
Open the front door of the library.
3. Install each cartridge tape in the storage cells with the words "DLT CompacTape" on
top and with the VOLSER label facing out. Figure 2-6 shows the orientation of the
cartridge tape for installation. Refer to Chapter 4 for instructions on how to apply the
cartridge label.
4.
Slide each cartridge tape into the storage cell until the cartridge stops and catches on
the retaining boss.
5.
Close the front door.
