Manual Operations

This section talks about the PowerVault 130T Library manual operations.
On occasion, you might need to manually operate the library. For example, if the hand/
camera assembly fails, the operator can mount cartridge tapes to the DLT drives by hand.
Manual operations might include:
Moving the hand/camera assembly.
Removing a cartridge from the hand.
Locating a cartridge in the storage cells.
Mounting/dismounting a cartridge to a drive.
Inserting a Cartridge into the Cartridge Access Port
While the PowerVault 130T Library is operating in automated mode, the robot mounts and
dismounts cartridges to the DLT drives automatically on request from the host software.
Some manual operations might still be required on occasion, such as inserting or removing
cartridges through the Cartridge Access Port (CAP).
