Replacing the Centre Belt

1.
Remove the rear belt guide for the centre
belt.
2.
Remove the centre belt and mount a
new belt.
3.
Fit and adjust the belt guide with the
lower belt on the engine belt pulley.
4.
Check and adjust the belt adjuster. This
is especially important when fitting a new
belt, since stretching of the old belt may
have been compensated for by changing
the setting of the belt adjuster. The
distance between the belt adjuster and
the belt guide should be 17 ± 5 mm.
Adjust using the adjuster screw by the
lever housing.
