8.1 - Error during boring

Error Cause
Bored holes too large, Drill bit diameter is too large
oval or ragged
Drill bits are warped or bent
Feed rate for boring is too high
Boring through work pieces
Gearbox spindles are defective
Drill bit sticks or is Improper material has been bored
jamming in wood
Stroke or feed rate for boring is too fast
Clutch broken (motor runs, drill stops in
wood)
Bits are dull
Motor rotation incorrect
Bit rotation not set properly
Assembly machine connected to the
wrong voltage
Drill bits cannot be Chucks are full of chips
gripped in the chucks
Drill bit shaft diameter too large or dam-
aged

8 - Troubleshooting

Solution
Check drill bit
Replace drill bit
Adjust brake
Adjust depth stop
Replace gearbox
Only use work pieces made from wood,
particle board or MDF
Adjust brake
Replace defective clutch
Sharpen or replace drill bits
Correct the motor rotation
Install left hand drill bits into chucks marked
in orange and right hand drill bits into chucks
marked in black
Check supply voltage and compare with mo-
tor data. Have checked by licensed electri-
cian
Clean drill bit chuck
Use cover caps
Remove burs on drill bit shaft or replace
