General battery maintenance

DANGER
Hazardous chemicals!
Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid.
Contact with skin and eyes could result in
severe irritation and burns.

(gloves and aprons). Wash hands after han-
dling.
Failure to comply will result in death or seri-
ous injury.
The battery is located in front of the radiator.
The battery electrolyte level should be between the mini-
mum and maximum lines provided on battery container.
If necessary, top off with distilled or de-mineralized water
until the level is correct. Do not overfill. Never use tap
water or water from rain barrel or other source.
To prevent the formation of corrosion, the terminals should
be cleaned and smeared with petroleum jelly. Do not ap-
ply grease to the battery terminals.
NOTE: Battery size - BCI group - 47 (CCA 600--850).

Batteries emit explosive hydrogen gas and
other fumes while charging.
