5 V power supply general view
The STM32U575I-EV Evaluation board is designed to be powered from a 5 V DC power source. One of the
following five 5 V DC power inputs can be used, upon an appropriate board configuration:
•
5V_STLK from CN26 Micro-B USB receptacle of STLINK-V3E (default)
•
5V_EXT from CN25 power jack marked 5V on the board. The positive pole is on the center pin as illustrated
in
Figure
•
5V_UCPD from CN1 USB Type-C
•
5V_DC from pin 49 of CN9 extension connectors for the custom daughterboard
•
5V_CHG from CN26 Micro-B USB receptacle of STLINK-V3E, in case of wall charger (no-enumeration)
No external power supply is provided with the board.
When 5V_EXT or 5V_DC is used to power the board, this power source must comply with the standard
EN 60950‑1:2006+A11/2009+A1/2010+A12/2011+A2/2013, EN 62368‑1 (2014+A11/2017) and must be safety
extra‑low voltage (SELV/ES1) with limited power capability (LPS/ES2).
LD2 green LED turns on when the voltage on the power line marked as 5V is present. All supply lines required for
the operation of the components on STM32U575I-EV are derived from that 5V line.
5 V / 500 mA is the standard to power the STM32U575I-EV Evaluation board.
