Meridian PBX Configuration

Termination of the EXTender 3000

In order to use the EXTender 3000 with the PBXgateway II, you first need to configure the second I
channel (CH2) of each PBX port assigned to a remote user. After the PBX is configured, you can then
configure the PBXgateway II for termination of the EXTender 3000 units, as described on page 40.
Note: The PBXgateway II does not support the termination of the EXTender 1000 for the Meridian PBX.
This will be supported in a future release.

Prerequisites for Configuration

The PBX should be powered ON and operational.
Make sure a basic configuration terminal consisting of a monitor and keyboard is connected to the
PBX via an RS-232 cable.
The PBX should have DCP ports assigned to the Gateway II.

Procedure

You first need to configure the first B channel (Ch1).
1. Go to the Meridian maintenance terminal and log in.
2. Enter LD 11 (overlay). The table below shows an example of the system prompts and the
corresponding responses you need to enter to properly configure the first B1 channel. To view the
changes, enter PRT at the REQ prompt.
3. For each System Response below, enter the User Input.
