Connecting to the EXTender 6000 - RVP_IP

This page provides the necessary information to configure the PBXgateway II for connection to an
EXTender 6000 over a managed IP network.

Prerequisites for Configuration

The PBXgateway II (at the corporate site) and the EXTender 6000 (at the branch office) must be
installed properly and the network link between both devices must be operational.
The network administrator must assign IP address information for both PBXgateway II and EXTender
6000 units.
The network administrator must provide the remote users with User ID's and Connect Passwords (if
assigned).

Configuration Items

The following parameters need to be configured on the PBXgateway II. Refer to the PBXgateway II
System Administrator's Guide for complete set up information.

Set the phone port
compression algorithm for
all active phone ports.
Disable both WAN Ports
Tune Jitter Delay and
Packet size
Set IP parameters
including:
IP Address
Subnet
Default Router
* We recommend setting the Jitter Delay to 20, and the Packet Size to 4.
