In this example, modems have been connected to the
Advanced System Management PCI Adapter that is
included with Netfinity 7000 M10 servers at each end of
the ASM Interconnect network bus. Placing modems at
opposite ends of the ASM Interconnect network bus
ensures that if an ASM Interconnect connection in the bus
fails all of the systems will still have access to a modem to
forward system management data to the remote system
administrator.
