Different width (in the main scanning direction) originals can be loaded.
• Details
To handle the mixed size originals, the adjustable original guide should be aligned with
the largest original in its width and the edges of every original at the other side should be
aligned with the fixed original guide.

Detecting Jams

■ Jams
This machine detects document jams using the sensors shown below.
Document jam check timings are stored in the ROM on the reader controller PCB to check
whether a jam has occurred according to presence/absence of a document at the relevant
sensor position.
When a jam occurs, the host machine stores its code.
Jam codes can be checked by outputting a jam error log report in the service mode of the
host machine.
