After Replacing the Scanner Unit (Reader side)

NOTE:
The adjustment method differs depending whether the unit replaced is Reader Scanner
or ADF Scanner.
1) Input the service label value packaged in the Scanner Unit content.
Lv. COPIER > ADJUST > CCD >
1 100-RG 100-GB
MTF2-M1 MTF2-M7
MTF2-M2 MTF2-M8
MTF2-M3 MTF2-M9
MTF2-M4 MTF2-M10
MTF2-M5 MTF2-M11

2) Perform sampling of B&W shading target.
Lv. COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD >
1 BW-TGT
3) Perform white level adjustment.:
3-1) Set A4 or LTR paper in the copyboard glass, close the DADF.
CAUTION:
If white level is adjusted in the small width paper, there is possibility that it will not
adjust.
5 Adjustment > Adjustment (Reader) > After Replacing the Scanner Unit (Reader side)

3-2) Perform service mode item.

3-3) Remove the paper from copyboard glass, set it in the DADF document pickup tray.
3-4) Perform service mode item.

3-5) Again, Set A4 or LTR paper in the copyboard glass, close the DADF.
3-6) Perform service mode item.

3-7) Remove the paper from copyboard glass, set it in the DADF document pickup tray.
3-8) Perform service mode item.

4) Perform the MTF filter coefficient computation.

1 MTF-CLC
5) Write down the values in the service label (on the back of the Reader Front Cover).
