Maintenance and care

12.1 Cleaning

For security reasons, maintenance and repair may
only be performed by our after-sales service points
registered with the Post Office authorities.
Have your franking machine cleaned and serviced
regularly by the after-sales service. This guarantees
long-term, trouble-free operation. Ask about our low-
cost care and maintenance agreement.
You can do the following work yourselves.
– Cleaning the outside of the housing
( Chapter 12.1)
– Changing the ribbon cassette (
Warning! Make sure that no liquids or foreign
objects penetrate the interior of the device. If this
happens, pull out the mains plug immediately. Have
the optimail checked by your local servicing dealer
before using it again.

Switch off the optimail.
•
Clean dirt from he housing with a slightly damp
cloth. You can use also use a commercially
available washing-up liquid.
