Operations
X-ray Exposure
Step 1
Using a cassette that contains an erased IP, conduct X-ray exposure using the same tech-
nique as for the conventional film/screen method.
For precautions particular to exposure using the FCR system, see Appendix Z, Precautions
for Exposure. Read it well first and then conduct exposure while observing the related caution.
Concerning IP erasure method, see 2.3 Conducting Exposure Using a Cassette (IP) Left
Unused for 8 Hours or More [SECONDARY ERASURE] and 2.4 Conducting Image Erasure
Only [PRIMARY ERASURE].
Entering Accession No. and Patient's ID Data
Step 2
On the CR Console, enter the accession no., patient's ID no., requesting department and
technician's name concerning the study that is to be started.

If the optional card reader is provided, the above information items can be entered
using an ID card (CR card).
Such information items can also be entered from the HIS/RIS via the network. In
this case, the patient's ID no., etc. entered will then be registered to the "Waiting
for Study" list.
On the "Study Reception" screen like that shown below, enter the patient's ID no., etc. from
the keyboard. (For detailed operation procedures, see the [CR Console Operation Manual].)
Upon completion of entry of the patient's ID no., etc., touch the
addition) button on the upper right of the screen.
