3.2. Configuration

3.2.1. Ethernet Settings

The Ethernet settings page can be used to view and change the TCP/IP network settings for
the ET-7000 module.
Settings
4-byte IP address. Each ET-7000 module
IP
needs an IP address so that if can be
identified on the network
4-byte Gateway. A gateway is a network
address that acts as an entrance to
another network. Usually, computers that

control the traffic within the network or at
the local Internet Service Provider (ISP)
are gateway nodes.
4-byte subnet Mask. A subnet mask
represents all the network hosts at one
geographic location on the same local
area network. When an Ethernet packet is

sent across the network, the ET-7000 will
use the subnet Mask to check whether
the TCP/IP host specified in the packet is
on local network segment.
Select this option If there is a DHCP
server on the network, the server can

assign the IP address automatically.
