7.14 Adjusting the Spacing Between Pen 1 and Pen 2 (CE5000-120AP)

This adjustment will set the spacing between pen 1 and pen 2.
If you replace the main board, use the following procedure to input the recorded adjustment values.
If you replace the pen block, you must adjust this value using the following procedure.
(1) Load an A4 (Letter) or larger size of paper in the plotter.
(2) Mount a water-based ballpoint pen in both the pen 1 holder and the pen 2 holder.
(3) Turn on the power while pressing the TEST and ENTER keys.
(4) Select the ROLL2 media mode.
(5) Press the COND key to display the 1 PEN condition setting menu.
Set condition 1 as shown below, and then press the ENTER key to store the setting.

(6) Press the COND key again, and then press the UP ARROW key to select the condition 2 setting menu.
Set condition 2 as shown below, and then press the ENTER key to store the setting.

(7) Press the PAUSE key to display the menu shown below.
DISTANCE ADJUST
(8) Press the PREV key until the menu shown below is displayed.
PEN 1/2 ADJ(M)
(9) Press the ENTER key to display the menu shown below.
PLOT ADJ PAT.
(10) Use the ARROW keys to move the pen to an open area to plot the cross marks.
(11) Press the ENTER key to plot cross marks by pen 1 and pen 2.
(12) After plotting the two cross marks, the following menu is displayed.

(13) Measure the offset between the pen 1 cross mark and the pen 2 cross mark.
