Entering and Exiting the Tools Mode

When the messages, Ready to copy, or Please wait..., or the
password entry screen is displayed, you can enter the Tools Mode
by entering the Tools Password. When an error message is
displayed or the copy job is interrupted, you cannot enter the Tools
Mode.
Any time you enter the Tools Mode, a special combination of
buttons on the Control Panel must be pressed, followed by the Tools
password.

Press the Stop button and the 2 button at the same time.
The Tools password entry screen is displayed.
Input password and press Start
Tools Password = _ _ _ _
2 Use the keypad to enter 0, 1, 2, 3 as the password.
For security reasons, only asterisks are displayed.
To correct your entry, press the C button on the Control Panel
and try again.
The 0, 1, 2, 3 password is the factory default setting. It is
recommended that you change the Tools Mode password as
soon as possible after installation to prevent the unauthorized
use of the features in Tools. Refer to the procedure, "Passwords",
for information about changing the Tools Mode password.
