Cleaning Procedures
Cleaning the Document Glass

The Document Glass and the Document Glass Cover need to be
cleaned periodically to help keep the 5750 operating reliably. If you
have the optional Edit Pad, the Edit Pad surface and the Edit Pad
Clear Plastic Overlay also need to be kept clean.
Keep the Document Glass clean to ensure that the copies are of the
best possible copy quality. Clean the Document Glass at the
beginning of the day and during the day as needed.

Lightly dampen a clean lint-free cloth with Xerox, or Rank Xerox,
Lens and Mirror Cleaner or a glass cleaner that is not abrasive.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the printer/copier, pour or spray the
cleaner on the cloth, not directly onto the Document Glass.

Clean the Document Glass by wiping the glass in the lengthwise
direction. Keep your fingers off the glass.

Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe off any excess moisture.

Repeat the steps, as required, until there are no visible marks or
streaks on the Document Glass.
