This chapter describes the commands and usage of the SiLA (Standardization in Lab Automation )
mandatory, optional, and specific commands implemented for the Automated Thermal Cycler (ATC)
System within a robotic environment.
IMPORTANT! Ensure the heated cover of the Automated Thermal Cycler (ATC) System is closed
before running a protocol. Closing the heated cover is optional when the Automated Thermal Cycler
(ATC) System is used as an incubator.
Set up the Automated Thermal Cycler (ATC) System on a
robotic system
1. Unbox the Automated Thermal Cycler (ATC) System.
2. Place the thermal cycler and the power control box at the intended location within the robotic
environment as per the recommended guidelines. See "Guidelines for robotic configurations"
page
28.
3. Connect the two modules through the interface cable (1m or 3m), or using the rigid connector.
4. Connect the power control box to the line with the power cord and to the network using the
Ethernet cable.
5. Use the AC switch to power up the Automated Thermal Cycler (ATC) System.
