a) Checking and Setting the Swash Plate Control
If the swash plate (see figure 25, item 1) is not per-
fectly horizontal after the helicopter is switched on, or if
hover flight requires that nod and roll trimming to be
adjusted a lot, the swash plate control can be mechani-
cally adjusted.
First start running the transmitter then the model.
When the binding process is completed, the servos (2)
will go into their centre position (neutral position). In
this position, the servo levers (3) must be aligned per-
fectly horizontally. The trimming displays for the nod
and roll functions at the transmitter must be in their
central positions.
If required, remove the fastening screw (4) on the servo
lever, pull the lever off the rotational axis and re-install
it in the proper position.
The teeth (5) on the servo axis make it easy to adjust
the servo lever „toothwise".
If the swash plate is slightly askew even though the
servo levers are horizontal, disconnect the ball sock-
ets (6) of the linkage rods at the swash plate and twist
them to set the required rod length.
Unhooking and hooking in the ball sockets is easiest
when using small pincers.
Attention!
Always disconnect the flight battery from the model before carrying out any maintenance or adjustment
works at the mechanics.
