c) Switching on the Transmitter

After inserting new batteries into the transmitter or charging
the batteries inserted, you may switch on the transmitter for
testing purposes. Slide the function switch (see figure 1, item
6) from the lower to the top position).
After the transmitter is switched on, the transmitter and receiver
must automatically align with each another (binding function).
Therefore, the transmitter goes into alignment mode for approx.
10 seconds after it is switched on to determine the digital cod-
ing of the transmitted signals together with the receiver.
In this time, the four trim displays (1) will run inwards from the
outside and then from the bottom to the top. Start and end of
the binding process is also indicated acoustically by a signal
tone.
Once the binding process is complete, the trim display remains
in the position last set.
The left horizontal trim bar (2) will show you the current setting
for the tail trim. The left vertical trim bar (3) will show you the
current setting for the pitch trim.
The right vertical trim bar (4) will show you the current setting
for the nod trim. The right horizontal trim bar (5) will show you
the current setting for the roll trim.
The displays correspond to the factory settings in lever mode 2. For further information on control lever
assignment, see chapter „11. Programming Possibilities for the Remote Control Transmitter" in section:
„Changing the Control Lever Allocation".
In the upper left of the display (6), the operational voltage of the rechargeable batteries or batteries is shown.
The numerical value of the right half of the display (7) shows you the percentage setting of the current controller. When
a control lever or trim button is operated, the numerical value changes according to the movement of the control lever
or trim button.
When a teaching cable or simulator interface is connected, the display shows „PC" instead of a percentage.
Switch off the transmitter again after a short function test.
When the batteries are new, up to 4 bars are shown in the battery icon (8). The lower the supply voltage,
the fewer bars are shown. If there are no bars in the battery icon anymore, you need to land your model at
once and insert new batteries or recharge the rechargeable transmitter batteries. If the supply voltage falls
below 8 V, the battery icon in the display flashes and the transmitter gives an acoustic warning sound.
